The Apocalypse; Doomsday; Armageddon. It had been called so many things, always an ever-present possibility in the back of mankind’s collective psyche. Our story begins in the far distant future; Erin Conyers suspended in animation for over 52 years, farther out in space than any had ever before been. Ten years prior to the catastrophe that changed the face of the planet forever, mankind had been forewarned by an unknown intelligence of an impending disaster. One of the relatively few to survive, these are her remembrances of those very dark days, when the world collapsed in a hail of nuclear destruction occurring on an unimaginable scale.
Apocalypse 2073 Volume 1 "The Prophecy" eBook Parker James
This book tells us of another way the apocalypse is on us yet this one could so easily be true! We all know the population of the world is becoming overcrowded and one day these scenarios may actually prove to be real. What would each country be willing to do to save their own people? As we all know no matter how much we want world peace etc. no other country believes the same as we do, nor will they protect themselves last. We can argue all day about the scenarios that will end the world as we know it but too many times these scenarios could actually play out and leave our world decimated. The author takes a look at the way the world is going now and plays into the old fear of overpopulation versus supply.Product details

Apocalypse 2073 Volume 1 "The Prophecy" eBook Parker James Reviews
I must have loved this... I seem to have the whole series. it has been a while since I've read it. This is one of the few series I've kept on my .
I loved volume 1 of apocalypse 2073 its a good fast paced story with strong charactors.
I have just started reading volume 2 and already it seems that this will be just as good as volume 1
I didn't finish this book. It was okay but it just wasn't my style and I wasn't really attached to the characters or story line. My attention wandered elsewhere for recreational reading. It was not poorly written or anything it just wasn't my style.
I was so disappointed, 23 or 24 "installments" more like chapters, deviated from the first so much that it made no sense that the first part went with the rest.
I'll start this by saying that I liked Book 1 enough to go on to Book 2, which says something. It's a great look at a possible course of "events" that sees the end of our life as we know it. It's a good airport or beach read with enough action to keep one engaged.
This is the worst book in this genre I have read so far. I kept reading because I really thought it had to get better. It did not. The story and characters were like bad Japanese anime and reminded me of the old, early movies where the strings making the space ship 'fly' were clearly visible. Speed Racer came to mind. The author could definitely use a dictionary and thesaurus. The nicknames for characters are totally corny. I have never seen a single word used so repeatedly it became a game to catch and count. Every character 'muttered' something on every page. There is a paragraph that uses 'muttered' twice. I tried hard to like this book but it failed on so many levels I felt bad for the author. I did finish it, laughing all the way. Sorry.
It jumped around a bit in the beginning, and I started off thinking I was reading a sci-fi book set in space. But this book focuses on the events leading up to a world disaster brought on by waring nations. There are some grammar/spelling mistakes that are distracting, but overall I enjoyed the characters, their different perspectives and the fresh take on a back story that propells mankind into space in search of alien life.
